Charity Washing is a big problem. It hides real issues in our economy. And it lets celebrities off the hook for Black institution-building and Black employment. A better approach is the Celebrity Economic Impact in the Black Community. How many Black jobs do you generate? How much Black income? How many Black money managers, lawyers and accountants do you hire ?
I would love to see one progressive celebrity audit their spending and release the data.
