If you have a story idea or a topic would like researched, then please submit your idea here. Odds are we have thought about it or started research and then could not develop the story.
Engaging stories have limits, focus and they have to teach. They do not try to “solve the world.” Instead they keep the reader reading.
When I was younger, I tried to answer an obvious question: “How profitable was slavey?” The answer is immensely profitable. But I could not produce anything short, engaging or relevant. As a young writer, I quickly got lost in the weeds: books, data, articles and opinions. I went down every rabbit hole. I got side tracked by the brutality and moral bankruptcy. After 3 months of research, I gave up.
